Our years of industry experience and countless installations have contributed to the design of the new Powerbox Professional Series Controllers.
Designed with industrial customers in mind, these controllers are built with features that save time, and increase efficiency for both installers and end-users.
Powerbox Professional Series units are fast to install - just mount directly to the wall prior to connection and there is a removable front panel for connecting the wires and servicing the unit. Tiered conduit knockouts on all four sides, that accept any standard fittings, allow cable entry to come in from any direction. There is also a pass-thru channel at the bottom, so that when multiple units are deployed along one wall, only one conduit run is necessary - multiple circuits can pass through the channel and terminate at each unit. Knockouts accommodate fittings for conduit sizes of 1”, 1.25”, 1.5” and 2”.
There are three model variations:
HID-2402 - 208V/240V Single Phase - L1, L2, Gnd
The HID-4802 is a standard 208V/240V single phase controller that requires input of two hot wires and a ground. There are 12 240V outlets (NEMA 6-15R) for lights and a 120V trigger cord for activation.
HID-2403 - 208V/240V 3-Phase - L1, L2, L3, Gnd
The HID-2403 is a 3-phase 208V/240V controller that requires input of 3 hot lines and a ground. There are 12 240V outlets (NEMA 6-15R) for lights and a 120V trigger cord for activation. Circuits are perfectly balanced across lines.
HID-4803 - 480V input / 277V output - L1, L2, L3, N, Gnd
The HID-4803 is a 3-phase 480V/277V controller. This controller requires input of 3 hot lines, a neutral, and a ground. This unit provides output of 277V and has 12 277V twist-lock outlets (NEMA L7-15R) that are activated by a 120V trigger cord.
These controllers are designed for maximum uptime. Minimal failure points and replaceable relays mean they can be serviced in the field. A removable front panel that requires no tools provides access to components and wiring. If a relay ever needs replacing, switch off the breaker, remove and replace the relay, and you are up-and-running again in minutes. No need to send the unit in for servicing.
To complete the ultimate industrial setup, be sure to choose Powerbox® ballasts, which are available in 208V/240V, and 480V/277V configurations.
